Two ways to get your Citi transactions
Citi Online separates the live transaction list from the archived documents:
- The transaction view of an account offers a Download Transactions action, with CSV among the file types (Quicken-style formats are offered on eligible accounts).
- The Statements section holds the official monthly documents, as PDF.
The CSV is the cleaner input for an analysis, but a PDF statement works too.
Download your transactions as a CSV
- Sign in to Citi Online with your User ID and password, from a desktop browser.
- Select the account — checking, savings or a Citi credit card — you want to export.
- Set the period: scroll to the dates you need, or fill in a Custom Date Range, then click View so the transactions load on screen.
- Click Download Transactions.
- In the pop-up, choose CSV – Spreadsheets as the file format and confirm the download.
The export reflects what is displayed, so make sure the date range on screen is the one you actually want before downloading — that is the single most common mistake with Citi's export.
If the date range does not go back far enough
Online transaction history is not unlimited, and how far back you can go depends on the product. When the picker stops short, switch to the Statements section and download the monthly PDFs for the missing months. Then analyze it
