One statement per currency, not per account
Wise works differently from a regular bank: your multi-currency account has no single transaction history. Every currency balance and every jar has its own statement. If you spend in euros on the card but get paid in dollars, that is two separate exports before you have the full picture. The upside is that statements are complete — they include all transactions for the period, including any activity hidden from the main view.
Download a Wise statement step by step
- Log in to your Wise account on the web.
- Click the currency or jar you want.
- Click the three dots in the top-right corner, then Statements and reports.
- Pick the document type and the period you need.
- Enter your Wise password to confirm, then download the file.
There is a faster route if you hold several currencies: click your initials at the top of the screen, then Statements and reports and Statements. From there you can select multiple balances at once and get a single zip file — or an emailed link if the download is large. This second path also works in the mobile app.
Formats and the 365-day limit
- On the web: PDF, XLSX (Excel), CSV, MT940, QIF and CAMT.053.
- In the app: PDF, CSV and XLSX only.
- Period: a statement covers 365 days maximum. For anything longer, download several statements back to back.
For spending analysis, take the CSV and ask for the full 365 days. Annual subscriptions only appear once a year, so a three-month export will hide exactly the charges you are trying to find.
Making sense of the export
Once you have the CSV, upload it to ScanCompte for a categorised breakdown, a balance timeline and an automatic list of recurring payments — conversion fees included. The same works for a Chase statement export or a Bank of America download if you also hold a US account.
